Belated post

This is part of my Amsterdam stash, it cost me 6Euro, and was well worth it, as it is the softest yarn I've ever worked with.

The guy in the shop assured me that one skein would be enough to make a hat, and he was right.

There was even enough left to make a felted purse.

Secret Pal 5 Questionnaire

1. Are you a yarn snob (do you prefer higher quality and/or natural fibers)?
I'm the anti-yarn snob! If it looks good, and feels good, then I'll knit with it.

2. Do you spin? Crochet?
Nope. I've just bought a crochet kit though, as I want to learn.

3. Do you have any allergies? (smoke, pets, fibers, perfume, etc.)
Grasses, pollen, smoke.

4. How long have you been knitting?
I learned to knit as a small child, and kept coming back to it over the years. It's been an obsession for the last couple of years.

5. Do you have an Amazon or other online wish list?
No, all gifts are good.

6. What's your favorite scent? (for candles, bath products etc.)
I adore citrus scents, and anything that smells like it would taste good!

7. Do you have a sweet tooth?
Oh yes

8. What other crafts or Do-It-Yourself things do you like to do?
I make badges, customise clothes, make jewellry, do some mosaic work and love to dye fabric.

9. What kind of music do you like? Can your computer/stereo play MP3s? (if your buddy wants to make you a CD)
*rolls eyes* Where should I start? I have a large and very eclectic cd collection, which covers most bases from Mexican techno to 1930's French ballads. I just can't get into jazz though. I can play MP3s.

10. What's your favorite color? Or--do you have a color family/season/palette you prefer? Any colors you just can't stand?
My default colours are black and hot pink, with red as a back-up. I'm not a fan of yellow in any shade, and pastels make me gag.

11. What is your family situation? Do you have any pets?
I live with my husband. We have no pets, as the poor boy has allergies.

12. What are your life dreams? (really stretching it here, I know)
To travel a lot, and set up a business selling Mexicana.

13. What is/are your favorite yarn/s to knit with?
Mohair is lovely and Noro yarns rock my world, but I recently bought some handspun pure wool that was exquisitely soft to work with.

14. What fibers do you absolutely *not* like?
Anything rough/squeaky. Cotton and I have some issues, as I find it hard on my delicate hands *laughs*

Socks - I'm knitting my first pair (on straight needles)

16. What is/are your favorite item/s to knit?
Anything and everything, as the mood takes me.

17. What are you knitting right now?
Hooded jacket for me in Noro Kureyon. Jumper for the husband in tweed. Mohair shawl as my travel project. Skull intarsia jumper for my niece.

18. What do you think about ponchos?
I own one, and think they're okay but don't really want to see any more "variations on a simple rectangle" patterns

19. Do you prefer straight or circular needles?
Circulars all the way for me. My Denise set is in constant use.

20. Bamboo, aluminum, plastic?
Yes, yes, yes.
