It's a sad day here at purlpirate towers.

My yarn winder died, in the middle of a delicious skein on Fybrespates.

Of course, the super-cheap ebay ones are nowhere to be seen, so a trip to Handweavers Studio is needed.

Oh my. Japanese yarn shops are great. Once the staff get over their surprise at Westerners wanting to buy stuff, they're so helpful and friendly.
